HOUSTON, TX – August 29, 2022 – Australian-born fitness concept F45 is pumping up the service offerings at Baybrook Passage Shopping Center in Webster. The brand, which has earned a global following for its 45 signature workout classes and 5,000 exercises – geared towards everyday movement and incorporating high- intensity interval training (HIIT), circuit training and functional training components has leased a 2,359-square-foot space in the popular retail development at 19435 W. Bay Area Blvd., directly across I-45 from Baybrook Mall.
Marking the 14th location in Greater Houston, this is the area’s first F45 south of the 610 Loop and second outside Beltway 8. The company recently appointed Gunnar Peterson, who has worked with high profile clients ranging from Tom Brady and the Kardashians to the Los Angeles Lakers, to the role of Chief of Athletics.
F45 was represented Brian Ashby and Sidney Dixon of CBRE. The center’s owner and operator Gulf Coast Commercial Group, an established, Houston-based firm specializing in retail development, management and leasing, was represented by the company’s Vice President of Leasing Danny Miller and Elise Weatherall of Wulfe & Co. The opening is slated for early 2023.
According to Gulf Coast Commercial Group’s COO Gerald Crump, “We are thrilled to bring F45 to Baybrook Passage and look forward to introducing more sought-after retailers, restaurants and service providers to the evolving tenant mix at Baybrook Passage; one of the most trafficked intersections in the market area.”
Offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, F45’s specially curated cardio workouts use plyometric movements, timing and tempo to blast both aerobic and anaerobic systems, resulting in fat burning, muscle building and metabolism boosting sessions. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sunday are dedicated to resistance training sessions designed to target power and stabilization for a solid base of functional strength, resulting in stronger, leaner, more defined muscles. Fridays and Saturdays combine cardio, resistance, agility and core movements to increase endurance and metabolism, while improving strength. Throughout the week, Functional Flexibility Recovery Sessions are designed to complement F45 Training through a combination of passive and active exercises, as well as stretching techniques designed to improve flexibility, range of motion and posture.
Founded in 1999, Gulf Coast Commercial Group and its affiliates have overseen the development of more than eight million square feet of retail space in twelve states. While it has historically grown through new development projects, in recent years, the company has expanded its portfolio with quality shopping centers, such as Baybrook Passage, where it can add value.
